Counter balancing valves or brake valves have a threefold function and are applicable in all hydraulic systems where negative loads occur. On one hand, they brake and control the negative load for optimal and safe usability. Additionally, they act as load-holding valves, ensuring that an unattended motor or cylinder remains in its current position. As a third function, they serve as hose rupture protection when mounted directly on the cylinder or motor.
