Shell Rimula R4 X provides triple protection and improves engine and oil durability. It increases reliability, reduces vehicle maintenance and is suitable for most heavy-duty diesel engines for on- and off-highway applications. Harmful acids generated during the combustion process are controlled, reducing accumulation of acids and chemical corrosion on bearings and metal surfaces. It provides very good protection against engine wear in the critical areas of valve train, piston ring and cylinder liners and forms a protective film between metal to metal parts. The use of soot-dispersing additives keeps the soot particles finely dispersed and prevents increased wear. It prevents oil thickening and harmful deposits in all parts of the engine, keeping the engine cleaner.
