The FAR M12 has an M12 internal thread and was specifically developed for use in asphalt. The anchor comes with a plastic cap to prevent contamination of the internal thread during and after installation. The recommended mortar for anchoring the asphalt anchor into the subgrade is FIS V Plus 360 S.
The flattened base prevents the anchor from rotating in the hole during installation.
