The first rays of sunshine are breaking through and temperatures are starting to rise. This means more fun time playing outside. You could decide to go out for the day to a petting farm or playground, but children can also have lots of active fun close to home, like riding around in the garden. Even if your child is not riding a bike yet, there are other ways to have fun outside, such as a ride-on tractor. A sturdy ride-on tractor is a fun and safe way to introduce children to the principles of riding a bike. We have put together five reasons to explain why a ride-on tractor would make a great present for the little ones.

1. A ride-on tractor helps to develop your child's motor skills
Your child is continuously developing their motor skills, and you can help them along this journey. As well as being fun, tearing around on a ride-on tractor is great for children's physical and mental development, and it is also a powerful way to stimulate your child's motor system. It exercises both their muscles and their joints, as they have to pedal themselves, and it also benefits their hand-eye coordination.

2. Steering the tractor helps to develop spatial awareness
Children develop spatial awareness alongside their motor skills. A ride-on tractor teaches them to gauge how fast they are moving and when to stop to avoid driving into things. They get a better feel for distance and speed because they can move faster on a ride-on tractor.

3. Upgrade your ride-on tractor
If you choose a ride-on tractor with a trailer, even the youngest child can help Mum and Dad in the garden by removing weeds, leaves and twigs. For even more appeal, a steering wheel with sound or a rotating light are fun additional accessories. And do not forget the powerful noises that a real tractor makes, like turning on the engine or hooting the horn.

4. Just like Mum or Dad
Take your budding farmer with you, on their own ride-on tractor with trailer. They can help move things around or do jobs around the house with the same ride-on tractor as Mum or Dad. And if your child is still a bit too young for a ride-on tractor, then you can always choose a sturdy push tractor, which lets even the youngest children get involved. Being able to ride on a real John Deere, New Holland or Massey Ferguson is even more fun, especially for young experts.

5. Years of fun!
Adding the right accessories prevents your child from getting bored too quickly, so they can enjoy playing for even longer. All ride-on tractors have an adjustable seat, so it will grow along with your child for years.

So, if we have convinced you that a ride-on tractor is the ideal present, there is only one thing left to do: pick one. You can use the child's age and height to select the model. See the list below for guidance.
