Breakaway brake control valve

This breakaway valve is an emergency function and ensures that if a trailer is accidentally detached from the tractor, the brakes are automatically applied. After uncoupling the tractor and trailer, a chain link will tighten, thus forcefully actuating the control valve. This will cause the accumulator to release its pressure to the braking system and activate the trailer brake.
