Properties
The low operating currents required for Vidalloy electrodes generate less heat and penetrate the base material less deeply
This reduces the risk of burning out and reduces the thinning the plating alloy with the base material
The result is a pure hard surfacing alloy with optimum mechanical properties
The amperage should be between min. 80 A and 130 A
The max. application thickness for Vidalloy V 33 should be max. 10 mm and 3 to 4 layers
This alloy is used for direct application on manganese steel and achieves high levels of wear resistance and impact strength
Grade 33 achieves very high wear resistance on carbonised and low alloyed steels
