Spring is almost here, so it is time to freshen everything up. Even though spring cleaning is no longer such a common custom these days, plenty of people spend time rearranging, repairing or renewing things around the house. Spring is the perfect time to inspect business premises, barns and farmyards and list everything that needs to be done. It is a chance to properly muck out the stables, or to give the shop's woodwork a fresh coat of paint. So where to start? We recommend working on the places that visitors and customers will see first. These serve as a business card and they need to look clean and professional.
Business premises
Perhaps the entrance to the stables could do with freshening up; door hangings that are torn and dirty do not work as well or efficiently, but also this affects that professional look. The new transparent strip curtains from AlfaFlex, available in a range of dimensions, will instantly freshen up the entrance to stables. They will also prevent vermin from getting in.
If stable doors and frames need a new lick of paint, tell your customers about the extensive colour range of paint, paint rollers and accessories at Kramp. Also very handy: pressure sprayers. The fast way to remove dirt and deposits from tiles and walls. Do not forget that you can also rent out (more expensive) items as an extra service.
Tools and machinery
Get consumers to think about the condition of their tools. Are they still in one piece, is everything still working? Buying everything new is often unnecessary; sometimes all you need to do is replace the small things. This saves money and is also better for the environment. If your machinery is looking a bit tired, then a little DIY will soon have it looking like new again. In the Kramp webshop you can find paint in a range of colours from all the major brands and the matching stickers for the perfect finishing touch.
Perfectly manicured
The recent good weather means grass is growing well. A well-maintained mower will create the perfect turf and an attractive cutting pattern. Do your customers know that you can sharpen or replace the blades? Sharp blades ensure that mowers deliver optimum performance.
Fencing
Check all your fencing before the animals are let out again. Is the wiring still connected safely? Do you need to replace any posts or wires? Is the battery still working and are the insulators still in one piece? And you might want to think about an electric fencing generator with solar panels.
Together = more fun
If your farm, garden or access road could do with some maintenance, then getting a child involved can make these little jobs much more fun. Kramp has an extensive range of garden tools for the little helpers in your family.

Administration
When thinking of spring cleaning, bookkeeping might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Love it or hate it, one thing is certain: when you are running a business, you cannot avoid it. Try to keep everything tidy and organised in your office or on the kitchen table — this saves time and therefore money. Get your accountant, bookkeeper or business advisor to have a look at the administration with you. And do not forget to ask them about the trends, developments and expectations in the long term; that is what they are there for.
Do some work on your shop
Have a close look at your range of products. Which are your best-sellers and which items need a bit more attention? Changing the shelf layout or assortment are options for boosting sales. Of course, you may also decide to get rid of some products to make space for new ones.
Try to see your shop through the consumer's eyes. Walk around and see what you notice. Is your best-selling product within easy reach, for example? A different location in the shop might boost sales by enabling your customers to make impulse purchases as they walk around. Small items at the till also encourage impulse buying.
If you know more about the things that you sell, you can also improve the information you give customers, which is also good for sales. Ask your Kramp account manager for advice.
