| Long description | LOCTITE 5188 is a highly flexible sealant and developed for use on rigid metal flange connections. This product is particularly suitable for use on aluminium where very good adhesion is required, such as gearboxes and engine oil sumps, and provides an instant low-pressure seal. It offers great flexibility, excellent chemical resistance and superior adhesion even with light oil contamination on the flange surface and hardens in the absence of air between tight-fitting metal surfaces. | |
